Marketplace IGA opens at Greenslopes
The Hopper Group’s latest store has just been opened at Greenslopes, approximately 7km from the heart of Brisbane. It is hard to believe that Marketplace IGA was once a Tenpin Bowling alley! This store has a number of unique architectural features and has been constructed with a major focus on minimising the impact on the environment. The fit out and consumer offering is second to none which should make it an absolute joy for locals to shop in.
SUPA IGA High St – Toowoomba Reopening
Congratulations to the Cornett’s Group on the refurbishment and reopening of Supa IGA High St Toowoomba. A lot of time, money and effort has gone into this store and the results are fantastic. The store is now running 10 lanes of top of the range Toshiba TEC Navikeys working in conjunction with the world’s best selling scanner/scale the Datalogic Magellan 84XX. This store is also the first Cornett’s store to include Self Checkout. Cornett’s chose to go with the IBM Self Checkout solution with a cashless configuration.
Leongatha Supa IGA – Supa IGA Retailer of the Year
Congratulations also to Michael Lorenz and his team at Supa IGA Leongatha who were presented with the Supa IGA Retailer of the Year Award, and then went onto win the highly coveted IGA National Retailer of the Year Award, at the annual IGA Retailer of the Year Awards held on the Gold Coast. Michael's Supa IGA Leongatha was awarded the prestigious Supa IGA Retailer of the Year Award due to the significant refurbishment of their fresh produce and grocery departments, which has dramatically improved the customer shopping experience. Not one to rest on his laurels, Michael is now upgrading his Point of Sale hardware to the latest generation Toshiba TEC POS to ensure his customers receive the best shopping experience possible when they visit his stores.
Grocery Manager - Service Pack 3
Service Pack 3 in now available for general release and is free for all maintenance paying customers. Service Pack 3 includes a number of changes including the ability to sell iTunes Cards, the ability to exclude certain products from host processing, the printing of name and address dockets for home delivery (details obtained from Customer Manager), product look-ups at the POS and the ability to process stock adjustments at the POS amongst other things. Please contact your local Worldsmart Retail Account Manager if you would like to take advantage of these new enhancements.
Group Controller - V5.0 Now Available
Version 5.0 of Group Controller is now available for all customers using Worldsmart Retail’s Head Office solution. The new version of Group Controller sits on a Microsoft SQL database and includes numerous new features. Group Controller users will find changes to the management of scale lines from head office, the calculation of rebates, ordering of head office allocations and most importantly the introduction of our new SQL reporting module. This new version is being rolled out by our Major Groups Team and please contact your local Account Manager if you have not been given a date for your upgrade to take place.
